The Biggest Loser: Developing a Healthy Lifestyle

The Biggest Loser is a reality TV show that has captured the attention of millions of viewers. It seems most people are interested in having better health today, but not everyone is interested in putting forth the effort that it may take. There is a combination of good nutrition, physical exercise and a positive mental approach that is needed to be successful for the long haul. There are many correlations between good physical health and a good spiritual life. The first step is to see that we gain through losing. John the Baptist who led many people to Christ understood this principal when he said, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” John 3:30 (NASB) This is true for each of us. I pray that more and more people will see less of me and more of Jesus in my life. Come “work out” with us this week!

Parents, mark your calendar! Cornerstone’s VBS will be July 20th-24th from 9:00am to 11:30am. This year’s theme is Crocodile Dock. The cost is $20 and includes Bible stories, crafts, snacks, games, and a T-shirt. Stop by the office and pick up a sign-up form (or download by clicking here). For more information, contact Jen Davis at 748-2327. This is for kids ages 3-11. Pre-K children must be potty trained.
