Merry Christmas Cornerstone Family!
What are you looking for this Christmas? As believers in Jesus, we are reminded to keep Christmas a holy day, not just a holiday.
Certainly, there are things that want to rob us of our joy; there is debt, loss of a dream, and even loss of a loved one that can dishearten us or even make us cynical. It is my hope that you are able to go from the temporal to the eternal, placing your focus on God’s ultimate gift.
It is my prayer that you are able to have a personal time of reflection and worship as you experience the presence of Jesus in your life. In Luke 2:10 (NIV) we read, “But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.’”
In our house, we have several Christmas traditions that are very dear to me. I love driving around and looking at Christmas lights. I love baking fudge and Christmas cookies – or at least watching them being made and sampling a few.
Without a doubt, one of my favorite Christmas traditions is our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. It’s a special time of worship with amazing music as we personalize how the Christmas message can change our lives. Make your plans now. Choose a time to attend; you’ll be glad you did!
I hope you can join our family as we worship Jesus!

My Gift to Jesus:
The leadership has been praying about what we can give to Jesus this Christmas. After all, it is His birthday. This Christmas, we want to do something life-changing for the kingdom of God. Will you join us in a special Christmas offering that will greatly increase our outreach to help people find and follow Jesus in our community in 2018? On December 24th, there will be an opportunity to give in each service.
Christmas Eve Worship Services:
Invite family and friends and celebrate Christmas Eve with us! Service times are 11:00 am and 5:30 pm. There will be a beautifully decorated photo area for family pictures. Homemade baked goods, hot cocoa, and hot cider will be served in the Cafe. Childcare will be available in the Nursery for ages 0-3. Our team is working very hard to make this year’s Christmas Eve worship services sensational. Our Children’s Choir will perform at the 5:30 pm service.
Coffee With The Pastor:
Are you new to Cornerstone Church? Would you like to find out more about us? Have a question you’d like to ask the pastor? The next scheduled coffee with Pastor Ed will be Sunday, January 14, 8:30-9:30 am in the Lounge.
Super Bowl Party:
Plans are in the works for a Super Bowl Party here at Cornerstone on Sunday, Feb. 4. Keep rooting for your team, and once playoffs are over and details released, we will set a time for the event.
