Does your child want awana-clubs-logo-colorto have fun with their friends and their community? Do you want your child to develop a basic understanding of God, the Bible, and the value of a life lived with Christ? Then it’s time to sign up for Awana!

Awana Clubs is a Bible-centered ministry for children ages three years through grade five. Awana Clubs emphasizes the value of Bible verse memorization and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The word “AWANA” is an acronym which stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed,” a phrase found in 2 Timothy 2:15: “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”  It includes games, snacks, bible stories and lessons, bible verse memorization, crafts, and worship designed to promote bible literacy and help kids develop a lifelong faith.

Awana is divided up into 4 different clubs:

– Puggles is for children ages 2-3  (Volunteers’ kids only)
– Cubbies is for preschoolers and TK ages 3-5 (Must turn 3 by September 1) FULL (If you volunteer, your child can join.)
– Sparks is for grades K-2 FULL (If you volunteer, your child can join.)
– T&T is for grades 3-5  OPEN

Awana materials include a vest/uniform, handbook, and book bag. Returning clubbers may only need to purchase a handbook, unless they are still working on a previous book. Clubbers can only move onto to the next book once they have complete the ENTIRE previous book (review is optional). Please note – All T&T clubbers will need to purchase a new book.  They all will go through the new T&T Mission Book 2.  New clubbers or returning clubbers moving into a new club level will need to purchase a vest/uniform, handbook, and book bag. Prices are as follows:

– vest/uniform $20 (includes the price of patches and jewels)
– handbook $15
– book bag $10

The clubbers will need to memorize bible verses at home, so that they can recite them at club and receive awards.  These include patches and jewels that are placed on their vests/uniforms.

Cornerstone’s Awana program will be held every Tuesday evening from 6:00pm-7:30pm beginning in September and ending in May. Registration is only $60/child for the entire year.  Siblings, 2016-2017 Cornerstone Awana clubbers, and 2017 Kids Camp participants receive a 10% discount.
