Dear Cornerstone Family,

On holidays, especially Thanksgiving, it is easy to pause and give thanks; but what if we became people who lived a lifestyle of gratitude towards God? What would that look like? What could change our perspective on life so dramatically that we would radiate thankfulness?

As I read this passage from Philippians this morning, I started by bringing to the Lord all the things that I am anxious about -which was more than I realized. Then I started to pray and give thanks for the many blessings God has given. This verse came to my mind:

Philippians 4: 4-7, NIV tells us, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

This time of year can bring so much anxiety, if we choose not to bring everything before the Lord. After laying it all before Him, we must choose not to take it back again. We must choose to have faith that He will give us the strength to do and be what HE desires for us.

Have a blessed day of giving thanks!
